What is Valmusa Labs?

Valmusa Labs is a precision skincare brand built on one principle: every ingredient must earn its place. We make six formulas — nothing more — each designed to do a specific job, work independently, and layer seamlessly with the others. No fragrance, no filler, no redundancy. Made in Spain.

Are the formulas fragrance-free?

Yes. All six Valmusa Labs formulas are 100% free of synthetic fragrance and essential oils added for scent. Fragrance is one of the leading causes of skin sensitisation — we see no reason to include it. What you smell, if anything, is the natural character of the active ingredients themselves.

Who are the formulas suitable for?

All skin types, including sensitive skin. The formulas are designed to be straightforward and well-tolerated, with no common irritants. If you have a specific skin condition, allergy, or are pregnant, we recommend checking the full ingredient list (available on each product page) with your dermatologist before use.

Are the products vegan?

Five of the six formulas are fully vegan. The Mouth (Lip Treatment) contains beeswax — we use it for its exceptional barrier and texture properties and have not found a plant-based alternative that performs equivalently. This is clearly noted on the product page.

Where are the products made?

All Valmusa Labs formulas are developed and manufactured in Spain, working with independent laboratories that specialise in high-concentration active formulation. We do not outsource to large contract manufacturers and we maintain direct control over every formula.

How should I store my products?

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid keeping products in the bathroom if it gets very steamy — a cool, dry surface is ideal. Once opened, products are best used within 12 months. The Signal serum should be stored away from light to maintain the stability of its copper peptide complex.

The Ritual
How do I use The Signal?

Apply 4–6 drops to cleansed skin each morning, before The Barrier. Press gently into skin rather than rubbing — this helps the copper peptide complex absorb without disruption. Allow 30–60 seconds before applying the next step. Consistency matters more than quantity: once daily is sufficient for most skin types.

Can I use multiple formulas together?

Yes — the six formulas are designed as a system and work together without conflict. The recommended daily order is: The Signal (serum, morning) → The Barrier (moisturiser, morning) → The Silk (night cream, evening). The Wash, Body, and Mouth are independent and can be used at any point in your routine.

If you're introducing a new formula, start with every other day for the first week to allow your skin to adjust, particularly with The Signal which is active-forward.

How long before I see results?

Most people notice texture and hydration changes within 2–4 weeks of consistent use. Structural changes — firmness, tone, visible reduction in fine lines — typically require 8–12 weeks. Skin renewal takes time; the formulas are built for sustained performance, not surface-level immediate effects.

Can I use The Signal with retinol or vitamin C?

Copper peptides and vitamin C are best used at different times of day (for example, The Signal in the morning, vitamin C in the evening or vice versa) as they can compete for the same receptor pathways at high concentrations. Copper peptides and retinol can be used in the same routine but on alternating evenings while your skin builds tolerance. If you're unsure, consult a dermatologist for a personalised protocol.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the European Union, the United Kingdom, and selected additional countries. Full details on delivery times and costs are available on the Shipping page. If your country is not yet listed, sign up to the newsletter — we announce new shipping regions there first.

What is the threshold for free shipping?

Free standard shipping applies to all orders over €100 within the EU. For orders below €100 or outside the EU, delivery fees apply and are calculated at checkout based on destination and selected service.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Orders can be amended or cancelled within 2 hours of placement, before they enter processing. After this window, we're unable to intercept orders. Please contact us immediately with your order number and we'll do our best to help.

What is your returns policy?

We accept returns of unopened, unused products within 30 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns of products that have been opened. If your order arrived damaged or incorrect, we will replace it immediately at no cost. Full details are on our Returns page.
